From Real Doll Makeup... Breaux Vineyards is located in the beautiful mountains of Virginia. With their endless rows of vibrant grape vines and incredible villa inspired building, it's hard to believe you're only an hour away from Washington, DC when you arrive through their gated grounds. This shoot was organized on a quintessential fall day. The air was perfectly crisp and when we arrived, the sun was just starting to set over the mountains. Organizing the shoot was really enjoyable, with many talented vendors so excited join.
Paul Breaux, the founder and owner, has deep roots in Cajun culture. I thought it would be nice to give nod to the culture by featuring some uniquely Cajun items. For example, if you look closely, the porcelain dishware (from Anthropologie) features a Fleur-di-Lys on the rim, as does on of the cakes. We also incorporated the Jennifer's Jambalaya wine, produced by the vineyard, which features the vineyards signature crawfish logo. The models dress was selected to create a ethereal and romantic feel to the shoot. It almost appears as if she is in a dream. We hope this styled shoot inspires many in our area to create their own beautiful escape out to this gorgeous venue.
